Everyone is doing it, so why can’t I?
I hate it!!! I hate texting with all my fingers…. they hate it. trust me I know, they’ve told me.
Anyways i have told all my friends i don’t text. like i do text when it’s necessary, like when everyone is at work and can’t really talk. But when it comes to what i would do, well I’d just rather dial a number, well not dial BECAUSE i hate dialing, but push a number and call. it’s so much quicker. seriously I don’t understand everyone’s fascination with text.
Lets say i want to ask someone out to dinner. i could call and ask, want to do dinner with me? x- person would yes, or no and the reason why cause i would ask why. anyways the conversation would last maybe 1 minute or two, and one would have all the information needed including the location of the restaurant…. But if i stupidly decided to text, and ask a person out to dinner, it would probably take 30 minutes to an hour of one short phrase reply’s. . A complete waste of time, I believe.
I find texting’ as a form of complete detachment from all humanity. like everyone seems afraid to talk, and bond, or let anything become personal.
maybe someday ill be one of those people who walk around not aware of their surrounding cause they are texting. or one of those parents who text their kids to come down stairs for dinner. it makes everything so much more disconnected. i don’t know, what do you think?

text-hate i get. i always forget you hate it till after i text u. i’ll usually do it when you’re offline and so i know if i text i’ll still be able to reach you.. muhahahahaha. I believe this is the reason Michael doesn’t like cell phones. People are always reachable nowadays. But yeah, I get how they make everyone detached from each other. Although, I don’t think it’s just cell phones, I think Facebook and Twitter do the same thing. It’s like, you “see” these people everday, but you never really talk to them. You just know what they’re up to thru updates and snooping/stalking ..lol.. I shall try and remember your dislike of texting..
btw- i want to see my present now! i shall call Mary so that she doesn’t drive to my house today, then i’ll be in Katy and it’ll be easier to stop by ur casa..
